In the Indian and Pakistani cultures, henna parties are abundant throughout all of life's happy times. Since childhood, Anita has had the pleasure of applying henna (also called mehndi) at family and community parties. As she practiced and improved, she began to do henna professionally. After taking henna classes during her visit to India in 2002, she began to include bridal henna as one of her services. Anita has enjoyed beautifying brides and their guests, as well as sharing the art of henna at a variety of events since 2000 in Chicago, Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego. She now resides and works in San Diego as a henna artist and special educator.
